Grants Available for Improving Health in New Jersey
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) is accepting grant applications for its New Jersey Health Initiatives 2005, which includes funding for addiction prevention.
The foundation will fund up to eight projects in 2005 that improve health and healthcare in New Jersey communities through innovative, community-based health services.
Grants will be awarded to projects in four key areas: Access: assuring that all residents have access to basic healthcare at reasonable cost; Chronic Health Conditions: improving care and support for people with chronic health conditions; Healthy Communities: promoting healthy communities and lifestyles; and Substance Abuse: reducing the personal, social and economic harm caused by tobacco, alcohol and illicit drugs.
Applicants and their projects must be located in New Jersey. The application deadline is Oct 28. Applications, guidelines and program information is available online.
